The theme of the second annual “Design the Renewable Future” competition organized by Rönesans Holding for architecture and engineering students, was specified as “Green Building and Environment Friendly Systems”. The participants who were honored to be awarded amongst 427 architecture and engineering students were invited to Istanbul with their projects. They were also given the opportunity to join a workshop with famous architects.

Iki Design Group Founding Partner M.Arch Murat Kader, Competiting students, Yakup Göçmen from Anadolu University - Faculty of Architecture, Müge Develier from Antalya University - Faculty of Architecture, Mehmet Sefa Karahan from Antalya University – Faculty of Engineering, Duygu Arslan from Middle East Technical University – Faculty of Urban Planning, Mustafa Pala from Fırat University – Faculty of Engineering and Berna Diler from Karadeniz Tecnical University – Faculty of Architecture participated a one hour workshop.

Kader informed the students about the necessity of the imagined projects to be applicable while evaluating their competition projects and answering their questions about architecture and professional career.

Murat Kader said: “Future’s Starchitects will be coming out of this county. I believe this wholeheartedly. Because of this, our exchange of ideas has been an enriching experience with my future colleagues.” while giving the third prize award to Anadolu University – Faculty of Architecture student Yakup Akgöçmen.
